Winnipeg Jets forward Anthony Peluso has been suspended three games for his hit on Dallas Stars defenceman Alex Goligoski during Saturday's contest.
Peluso had a phone hearing on Sunday with the NHL's Department of Player Safety.
During the second period of the Jets' 6-4 loss at the hands of the Stars, Peluso hammered Goligoski into the boards from behind just after he played the puck up the ice.
Peluso was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding on the play.
Goligoski was slow to get to his feet and eventually left the ice bleeding.
The 28-year-old defenceman returned to the game in the third period.
Peluso has no prior suspension history in the NHL.
