The Winnipeg Jets (24-20-3) conclude their regular season schedule tonight at MTS Centre against the Montreal Canadiens (27-14-5).

The Jets trail seventh-place Ottawa and eighth-place New York Rangers by one point. The Senators play in Washington while Carolina hosts the Rangers tonight.

If Winnipeg wins tonight, and the Senators or Rangers lose, the Jets will have to wait for the weekend to see if they will make the playoffs.  Ottawa plays at home against Philadelphia Saturday and in Boston Sunday.  New York would have 1 game remaining at home against New Jersey Saturday afternoon.

Ondrej Pavelec will start in goal for the Jets.

Dustin Byfuglien is the lone Jets to pick up a point in consecutive games (two assists).  Tonight will be Byfuglien's 450th NHL game.

Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler are tied for the team lead in goal at 18.  Evander Kane has scored 17.

Bryan Little has scored 99 goals in his NHL career.

Jim Slater is the lone player on the Injured Reserve List that will not dress due to injury.

Montreal has lost their last two games and have only one win in their last six games.

Carey Price will start in goal.

Max Pacioretty is on a five-game point streak (three goals and three assists).

The Canadiens have the fourth best power play in the NHL at 21%.

Brandon native Ryan White will not play as this is the final game of his five-game suspension.

Alexei Emelin is their lone player on Injured Reserve.

Montreal is 2-0 against Winnipeg this season outscoring them 8-4.  Michael Ryder and Alex Galchenyuk lead the Habs with three points in those games.  The Canadiens went 4 for 7 on the power play (57%) in those two games.
