Munz: Bishop faces Pavelec as Jets host Lightning

The (21-19-2) Winnipeg Jets host the (17-22-3) Tampa Bay Lightning in a 7pm ct face off at MTS Centre.

It's the first game for the Jets since Thursday's 7-2 victory over Florida, and is the start to six games in 10 nights to close out the regular season schedule.
Winnipeg trails Washington by four points for first place in the Southeast Division. The Capitals play at home against Toronto tonight. The Jets are two points behind the eighth-seeded New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference standings, three back of the seventh place New York Islanders and four behind sixth place Ottawa. Tonight the Islanders host Florida, the Rangers play in Philadelphia and the Senators are at home to Carolina.
Ondrej Pavelec will start his eighth consecutive game in goal. He is currently ranked third in the NHL facing 1,069 shots against and is also third among league goaltenders with 969 saves.
Andrew Ladd is on a four-game point streak (two goals, four assists).
With points in their last three straight games are Bryan Little (one goal, five assists), Evander Kane (three goals, two assists), Blake Wheeler (one goal, three assists) and Kyle Wellwood (two goals, one assist).
Dustin Byfuglien has one goal and two assists in his last two games, while Aaron Gagnon has scored in back to back games.
Olli Jokinen is one goal shy of scoring 300 in his NHL career. In 57 games lifetime against the Lightning, Jokinen has 53 points.
Tampa Bay is coming off a 3-1 loss in Buffalo Sunday which extended its losing streak to three games.
Ben Bishop starts in goal for the Lightning.
Under new head coach Jon Cooper, the Lightning record is 3-4-2.
Martin St. Louis leads the NHL with 41 assists.
Benoit Pouliot is the lone Lightning player on a point streak with a goal and an assist in his last two games.
Winnipeg has a 2-1 record against Tampa Bay this season, despite being outscored 11-8. Little leads the Jets with two goals and three assists vs. the Lightning, while Steven Stamkos has three goals and two assists against the Jets. Stamkos has scored at least one goal in each of his last six games against Winnipeg.
