With the NHL Trade Deadline eight days away, teams are making decisions on whether to buy or sell. Check out Tuesday's trade rumours and speculation from around the NHL beat, and follow each day until Deadline Day for all the updates.

Bruins motivated to make deal

During Monday's Insider Trading segment on TSN, Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie stated that of the four teams said to be on Jarome Iginla's list of teams that he would waive his no-movement clause for, that the Bruins are the 'most motivated' to get a deal done.

"When you look at what Boston is trying to do, they lost out on Brenden Morrow, and they do not want to lose out on Iginla," McKenzie said. "They want and need him perhaps more than Los Angeles, Chicago or Pittsburgh. The price is going to be high for Iginla. He is a rental, a pure rental and right now the Calgary Flames are looking for three elements: a first round pick, a primary prospect and a secondary prospect."

Philadelphia Freedom?

On the same Insider Trading, Darren Dreger spoke of a potential trade link between the Ducks and the Flyers.

"I'm not saying Bobby Ryan is on the trade block, it could happen in the off-season, but we know the Ducks are looking for a centre," Dreger stated. "Sean Couturier's name is in play, that connection could happen if there's a hockey deal."

Set in St. Louis?

According to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the Blues, who are sitting in seventh in the Western Conference, likely won't move a forward now that the group is finally healthy.

Rutherford believes that the club doesn't have interest in moving potential unrestricted free agent Andy MacDonald or the much discussed Chris Stewart.

Something Bruin?

While the Jarome Iginla rumours continue, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald believes that another Flame, Curtis Glencross would fit in well with the Bruins system of play.

Conroy reports that Flames had two scouts at the Bruins' shootout win over the Maple Leafs on Monday night.

A Tale of Two Stars

According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of, Jaromir Jagr and the Dallas Stars have started talking about a contract extension. Jagr, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, has been a much discussed player leading up the deadline.

LeBrun also states the Ottawa Senators, along with the Ducks have expressed some interest in potential unrestricted free agent centre Derek Roy.

Not Done Yet?

In the same story, LeBrun says that Ray Shero and the Pittsburgh Penguins still have the cap room to stay in the Jarome Iginla market and are looking to win this season, before the team has to deal with the salary cap issues going forward, with both Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang needing new deals at the end of next season.
