Canada's Sports Leader landed another rising young journalist when Matthew Scianitti joined the SportsCentre team as a reporter in January 2013.
Since joining TSN, Scianitti has reported from the legendary International Speedway during the Daytona 500 and has covered everything from NHL, CFL and the Toronto Argonauts, and the Toronto Raptors
Scianitti joined the National Post as a sports reporter in October 2011. Along with closely following the CFL, he also covered rugby, figure skating, auto racing, basketball, football, and soccer. Throughout the 100th Grey Cup, Scianitti wrote feature articles and provided video analysis for the league's website, CFL.ca.
The Thornhill, ON native is a graduate of York University and also holds a graduate degree in Journalism at Ryerson University. While completing his studies, Scianitti worked as a freelancer for The Globe and Mail, Toronto Life, CBCSports.ca, The Kansas City Star and was editor of Soccer 360, Canada's national soccer magazine.
In his short career Scianitti's work has been recognized, earning three National Magazine Awards nominations for his work in the Ryerson Review of Journalism and his contributions to Toronto Life.
