The Vancouver Canucks made their third trade of the day Friday afternoon acquiring right wing Derek Dorsett from the New York Rangers in exchange for 85th pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.
Dorsett, 27, scored four goals and added four assists with 129 penalty minutes in 51 games with the Rangers last season.
Originally selected in the seventh round (189th overall) by the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dorsett has scored 31 goals and 42 assists in 331 career games with the Rangers and Columbus.
New York acquired him in April 2013 as part of the trade that sent Marian Gaborik to the Blue Jackets.
The Rangers get the 85th overall pick in the draft from the Canucks, who acquired it earlier in the day in the deal for forward Ryan Kesler.
