Matt Moulson is headed to his third team this season.
The Buffalo Sabres have traded Moulson and Cody McCormick to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Torrey Mitchell and a second-round draft pick in both 2014 and 2016.
Moulson, 30, has appeared in 55 games between the Sabres and New York Islanders this season, scoring 17 goals and 21 assists.
He was traded to the Sabres earlier this season along with a first- and second-round draft pick by the Islanders in exchange for forward Thomas Vanek.
He is in the final year of a three-year, $9.4 million contract and is scheduled to hit unrestricted free agency on July 1.
Moulson was selected in the ninth round (263rd overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has played 377 career games with the Sabres, Islanders and Los Angeles Kings, scoring 135 goals and 127 assists.
