Leafs Looking For Goaltending
According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie the Toronto Maple Leafs 'under the right circumstances' are looking to add a veteran goaltender with playoff experience.
McKenzie states that Leafs general manager Dave Nonis is leaning more towards the Flames' Miikka Kiprusoff ahead of the Canucks' Roberto Luongo, largely due to the much shorter term on Kiprusoff's deal and the lower acquisition cost.
Fed Up With Rumours
The Buffalo News caught up with the Sabres after practice on Friday, and Jason Pominville sounded off on the fact that his name has been involved in rumours.
"It doesn't affect me at all," a 'clearly affected' Pominville told the News. "I just answered the question. It makes no sense to me right now. Again, I have a contract that has a clause in it, and I haven't been asked anything. I'm not worried about it. I've just got to go out there and play. If something happens, then I'll worry about it. Right now it's just trying to win games."
Pominville has one-year remaining after this season on his contract and has a limited no-move clause where he can name eight teams he won't accept a trade to.

Ansar Khan of MLive.com discusses the options the Red Wings have with imprending unrestricted free agent Valtteri Filppula.
The Red Wings and Filppula have had contract talks, but remain far apart and if a deal can't be reached then the club could lose Filppula for nothing in the summer. Unless, the decide to move him prior to the trade deadline.
