Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray was injured in the first quarter of Friday's game against the Calgary Stampeders and didn't return.
The injury appeared to be on his throwing shoulder. The team said following the game that Ray would be evaluated Saturday.
Also injured in the game was Stampeders pivot Kevin Glenn.
Glenn left with an undisclosed injury at 1:06 of the fourth quarter after being taken down by Argos tackle Khalif Mitchell.
After the game, Glenn said that he took tests in the locker room and did "well." He said he had some headaches after the hit but that he wasn't experiencing any when he spoke to media following the contest.
While running out of the pocket on a scramble, Ray was hit by defensive end Charleston Hughes and driven hard into the turf. He lay on the field for a few minutes while trainers looked at him before heading to the locker room on his own.
Ray returned to Toronto's bench in the third and wasn't wearing equipment.
Ray was shaken up earlier this year when he hurt his knee against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers; a similar injury that kept him out of three games last season.
