Genie Army to invade Montreal for Bouchard homecoming

Founding members of the Genie Army, a group of Eugenie Bouchard supporters who cheered for the rising tennis star during the Australian Open in January, will be in the city for the Rogers Cup, beginning this weekend. Banking On A Win

Fifth-seeded seed Ana Ivanovic won her first-round match in the Bank of the West Classic, defeating Sabine Lisicki of Germany 7-6 (2), 6-1 on Tuesday. The former world No. 1 lost to Lisicki in three sets in their previous meeting at Wimbledon. The Serbian next faces Canadian qualifier Carol Zhao was leading Yanina Wickmayer 6-2, 1-0 when the Belgian retired because of the effects of a viral infection. Full Story.
