GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- Roseline Filion of Laval, Que., won the bronze medal in the women's 10-metre tower Sunday to conclude the fifth stop on FINA diving World Series.

It was a nice comeback for Filion after a self-described disappointing performance earlier this month at the Canada Cup FINA Grand Prix in Gatineau, Que.

Huixia Liu of China took the gold with 401.05 points, her compatriot Yajie Si was second at 384.00 and Filion posted her best result this season at 371.05. Filion was fourth through four rounds but nailed her twisting dive in the fifth and final round for 8.0's and 8.5's to gain a spot.

Filion, who didn't reach the final at the Canada Cup, was sixth in her two previous appearances this season on the World Series. The circuit is reserved for the top eight in the world.

Montreal's Meaghan Benfeito, the Canada Cup champion, was fourth in her semifinal heat and was eighth overall. The top-three from each semi advanced to the final.
