Munz: Pavelec faces Brodeur as Jets visit Devils

The Winnipeg Jets begin a six-game road trip against the New Jersey Devils tonight.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between these teams. Al Montoya made 24 saves and Evander Kane scored two goals as Winnipeg were 3-0 winners at MTS Centre on October 13.

The (10-11-4) Jets are seventh in the Central Division with 24 points. Fifth-place Dallas and sixth-place Nashville also have 24 points, however the Stars have three games in hand on Winnipeg while the Predators have played two fewer games. All three teams trail fourth-place Minnesota by 10 points.

Ondrej Pavelec (8-9-3, 2.81, .913) will start his third straight game in goal.

19-year-old defenceman Jacob Trouba returns to action after missing the last 17 games due to injury.

New Jersey is coming off a 2-1 loss in San Jose Saturday night which concluded a three-game California road trip. They have five wins in their last seven games.

The (9-9-5) Devils are fourth in the Metropolitan Division with 23 points. They trail the third-place Rangers by one point and are three back of second-place Washington.

Martin Brodeur (7-4-2, 2.06, .917) will start in goal.
