The Florida Panthers added two players to their roster on Saturday, signing forward Brad Boyes and defenceman Tom Gilbert.

The deal for Boyes is for one year and is worth $1 million. TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie says that Gilbert's contract value should be similar to Boyes'.

Boyes, 31, played for the New York Islanders last year and had 10 goals and 25 assists in 48 games.

The 30-year-old Gilbert played for the Minnesota Wild last season and had three goals and 10 assists in 43 games.

Both players had been in Florida's camp on professional tryout contracts.
