Zach Collaros is on call for the Toronto Argonauts.
Head coach Scott Milanovich confirmed on Thursday that if quarterback Ricky Ray can't go next Tuesday against the B.C. Lions, Collaros will get the start.
Ray is day-to-day with a left knee injury suffered in last week's 35-19 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was 19-for-20 on his pass attempts for 286 yards before leaving the game in the third quarter after being tackled.
Ray did not practice on Thursday and was not made available to speak to the media. Milanovich said Ray felt a small amount of pain, so he won't suit up again for practice until Sunday and the team will make a decision depending on if the veteran quarterback says he'll play.
Collaros, 24, has dressed in three of Toronto's first four games, going 7-of-10 for 112 yards. Trevor Harris is expected to be Collaros' backup if Ray remains sidelined.
