Stars acquire D Gaunce from Avalanche for F Vincour

The Dallas Stars have acquired defenceman Cameron Gaunce from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Tomas Vincour.

The 23-year-old Gaunce has skated the last three seasons for the Lake Erie Monsters, Colorado's development affiliate in the AHL. As a member of the Monsters, he's posted nine goals and 51 assists, 272 penalty minutes and a plus-22 rating in 197 games. The native of Sudbury, Ont., has skated in 11 career NHL contests. Gaunce was Colorado's second-round selection (50th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft.

The Stars assigned Gaunce to the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
 
The 22-year-old Vincour has played 86 career NHL games, posting seven goals and eight assists. The native of Brno, Czech Rep., was the Stars' fifth-round selection (129th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.
