Impact sign Jackson-Hamel to first team from Academy

The Montreal Impact have signed forward Anthony Jackson-Hamel to a professional contract from their U23 academy team.

The 21-year-old contributed four goals in six PDL game this season and added three goals in four MLS Reserve League games.

Jackson-Hamel also appeared twice for Canada at the 2013 U20 CONCACAF championship in Mexico.

The Quebec City native is the 7th player to sign a pro deal from the Impact Academy.

The club also loaned forward Santiago Gonzalez to Uruguayan first division side Danubio FC.

Gonzalez, who joined the Impact in February, played only 80 minutes this season.
