MADRID, Spain -- Rayo Vallecano and Osasuna played to a 2-2 draw Friday that left both teams short of their objectives in the Spanish league.
Rayo stayed in eighth place and four points from the Europa League spots, while Osasuna edged five points clear of the drop before the rest of the teams play.
Rayo striker Andrija Delibasic opened in the seventh minute by heading in a cross from Alhassane "Lass" Bangoura.
Osasuna quickly rallied back to go in front on a pair of headed goals from corner kicks by midfielder Raoul Loe in the eighth and defender Alejandro Arribas in the 13th.
Rayo's passing attack got going in the second half, and Alejandro "Chori" Dominguez set up Francisco "Piti" Medina for his 15th goal of the season to level in the 57th.
