BARCELONA, Spain -- Espanyol's resurgence under coach Javier Aguirre gained steam as it beat visiting Levante 3-2, with substitute Christian Stuani guiding the Barcelona-based side to a fourth consecutive home win by scoring one goal and setting up another on Saturday.

Espanyol opened in the 41st minute when Levante defender Juanfran Garcia's clearance hit the back of teammate Vicente Iborra and floated into their own net.

Levante forward Ruben Garcia picked off Diego Colotto's back pass to make it 1-1 in the 47th, but Stuani, who had gone on at halftime, nodded in Sergio Garcia's cross to reclaim Espanyol's lead in the 67th.

The Uruguayan forward then passed for Garcia to side-foot in Espanyol's third goal two minutes later, before Obafemi Martins netted for Levante in the 87th.
