TORONTO -- Queens Park Rangers' ties to Canada continue to grow.
The English Premier League team provided Toronto FC its new coach in veteran defender Ryan Nelson, is home to Canadian-born attacker David (Junior) Hoilett and has former Canadian international Marc Bircham as its youth team coach.
Now QPR is furnishing two players to Canada's roster for the 2013 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship, which runs Feb. 18 to March 3 in Puebla, Mexico.
QPR says Dylan Carreiro of Winnipeg and Mike Petrasso of Woodbridge, Ont., have been summoned by Canadian under-20 coach Nick Dasovic. Both players were formerly part of Toronto FC's academy.
The Canadian Soccer Association plans to release the full roster next week.
Canada has been drawn in Group B with Cuba and Nicaragua at the 12-team qualifying tournament.
Two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, with the winners qualifying for the U-20 World Cup in Turkey June 21-July 13.
Canada will be looking to win its pool to avoid a likely matchup with the United States in the final eight.
According to the draw, the winner in Group B plays the runner-up in Group A, which consists of the United States, Costa Rica and Haiti. The Group B runner-up meets the Group A winner.
