Nielsen gets 38th shutout as Sporting KC blanks Chivas USA

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Claudio Bieler scored either side of halftime to lead Sporting Kansas City to a 4-0 win over Chivas USA in Major League Soccer on Sunday

Argentine forward Bieler opened the scoring in the 41st minute before converting a penalty in the 57th to give Kansas City a 2-0 lead.

Graham Zusi, who helped set up Bieler's first goal, scored in the 65th and C.J. Sapong scored his first of the season in the 87th.

Chivas played with 10 men for most of the match after Dan Kennedy was sent off for pulling down Paulo Nagamura in the area.

At Carson, California, Andrew Driver scored in the 56th minute to lift the Houston Dynamo past the Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0 and into a share of the Eastern Conference lead with Sporting Kansas City, New York and Montreal.

Houston keeper Tally Hall stopped Landon Donovan's penalty attempt in the 25th minute.
