D.C. United acquire Riley from Chivas USA for 2015 draft pick

WASHINGTON -- D.C. United have acquired defender James Riley from Chivas USA for a 2015 second-round pick in the supplemental draft.

The 30-year-old Riley has played for four teams over eight MLS seasons. He started 32 games for Chivas last year and tied for the club lead in minutes played.

The clubs announced the trade Thursday.
