TSN and's celebration of the 25th anniversary of the trade that sent Wayne Gretzky to the Los Angeles Kings continued Thursday by having some fun with The Great One's farewell to Edmonton.

Thursday night's SportsCentre saw DJ Steve Porter take on the most indelible soundbyte from Gretzky's trade press conference.

Breaking out into tears, The Great One quipped: “I promised Mess I wouldn't do this,” alluding to a promise to teammate Mark Messier that he'd keep up a strong exterior when the news of the trade broke.

Porter stepped up, taking the memorable clip and turn it into an internet smash.
