CALGARY - Defending champion Eric Lamaze has chosen his mount for the Olympic Games.

Lamaze says he'll ride a nine-year-old Belgian mare named Derly Chin de Muze in London this summer.

Lamaze won individual gold and team silver for Canada aboard Hickstead at the 2008 Olympic Games.

But Hickstead died tragically during competition last November.

Lamaze had to quickly find a new horse. He says Derly performed well in competition at Spruce Meadows over the last few weeks.
