Tom Thibodeau and Monty Williams will join the returning Jim Boeheim as assistant coaches for the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team.
USA Basketball announced Monday that Thibodeau and Williams will work the next three years under coach Mike Krzyzewski.
The Chicago Bulls' Thibodeau and the New Orleans Pelicans' Williams will replace Mike D'Antoni and Nate McMillan.
Krzyzewski calls Thibodeau "one of the best defensive coaches." He says of Williams: "Players love playing for him."
Boeheim, D'Antoni and McMillan all worked under Krzyzewski since 2005, helping the Americans win two Olympic gold medals. The Syracuse coach is close friends with Krzyzewski and decided to remain for the next cycle, which starts with the 2014 World Cup of Basketball.
