The Calgary Flames have signed goaltender Joni Ortio to a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old Finn posted a 4-5-1 record in 10 games with the Flames in 2013-14 with a 2.84 goals-against average.

It was his first season in the NHL.

The Flames originally selected Ortio in the sixth round (171st overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
