Leafs' Lupul leaves game against Blue Jackets with injury

Toronto Maple Leafs winger Joffrey Lupul left the team's Monday night game against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second period.

He left the ice favouring his leg and did not return to the ice for the third period. Maple Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle called it a groin injury after the game.

The 30-year-old missed two games in late October with a bruised foot, but has otherwise played 21 games for the Leafs in 2013-14.

The Maple Leafs lost the game 6-0.
