The Philadelphia Flyers will be without the services of forwards Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier for up to a week, general manager Paul Holmgren said following Friday's 2-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes.

"Scott has an upper-body injury, probably going to keep him out for at least a week," Holmgren said. "We will know better [Saturday]. Vinny's is a lower-body issue; he's probably going to be out at least a week as well and we will know more [Saturday] on both guys once we have further evaluation."

Both Hartnell and Lecavalier are expected to have MRI's on Saturday.

Hartnell left the game in the first period and did not return, while Lecavalier checked Coyotes forward Antoine Vermette behind the net late in the second period and immediately went to the bench. He did not come out for the start of the third period.

"Well it's tougher, but it doesn't matter does it?" head coach Craig Berube said following Friday's game. "I mean, we've got to win hockey games. People will come in and fill in for them."

Sitting last in the Metropolitan Division and in need of offence, the Flyers face the Red Wings in Detroit Saturday night before returning home to open a three-game homestand beginning Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks.
