There remains a large gap in the Toronto Maple Leafs arbitration case with defenceman Mark Fraser.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the Maple Leafs are offering Fraser $855,000 per year while the restricted free agent has requested $2 million per season.

The two sides are scheduled to go before an arbitrator on Tuesday in Toronto. To date, 18 of the 21 arbitration-eligible players in the NHL have settled with their teams prior to an actual hearing.

Fraser, 26, is coming off an eight assist campaign with the Leafs. In 143 career games Fraser has three goals and 13 assists. He's a career plus-20.
