Islanders agree to terms with Regin

Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Islanders have agreed to terms with center Peter Regin on a one-year contract.

Regin had three assists in 27 games last season with the Ottawa Senators.

During his first full season with Ottawa in 2009-10, the center established career highs in games (75), points (29), goals (13), assists (16) and plus- minus (+10).

The Herning, Denmark native has been limited to 92 games over the past three seasons due to injury.

In 178 career games with Ottawa, Regin has 19 goals and 36 assists. He added three goals and one assist in six playoff games.
