The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Andrew Ference to a four-year, $13 million contract.

The Oilers also signed forward Boyd Gordon to a three-year deal, winger Jesse Joensuu to a two-year deal, and goalie Jason LaBarbera to a one-year contract.

The average annual value of Ference's deal is $3.25 million per season.

The former Boston Bruins blueliner is a 13-year NHL veteran.

Gordon, 29, had four goals and 10 assists while playing in all 48 games for the Phoenix Coyotes last season.

Joensuu, 25, missed most of last season with a sports hernia, but he played in seven games, recording two assists.

LaBarbera, 33, also played for the Coyotes last year and was 4-6-2 with a 2.64 GAA and a .923 save percentage.
