According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the NHL is moving towards an agreement with the Gosbee group to purchase the Phoenix Coyotes.

Dreger also reports that the agreement is subject to a number of conditions that haven't been met as of yet, and that the deal could still fall apart forcing the league to go in another direction.

The league and the Gosbee group hope to meet informally with the mayor of Glendale and city councillors on Tuesday to present a full breakdown of their proposal and discuss the arena lease.

The league has owned the Coyotes since 2009 when the team entered bankruptcy.

Phoenix recently signed executive vice president and general manager Don Maloney to a long-term contract extension.
