Cory Schneider participated in a full practice with the Vancouver Canucks on Monday but his status for Wednesday's series opener against the San Jose Sharks remains up in the air.
Schneider and head coach Alain Vigneault said that the goalie remains day-to-day. Vigneault said he may not make a decision on his playing status until Wednesday.
Schneider has been nursing a lower-body injury and last played on Apr. 22 in a victory over Chicago. He sat out the final two games of the regular season in favour of Roberto Luongo.
When asked about Luongo, Vigneault said, "I expect him to be the great goaltender that he's always been."
Vigneault also told media on Monday that he will not be discussing the Canucks' lineups during the playoffs. He confirmed that defenceman Chris Tanev remains day-to-day with a leg injury.
