Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vincent Lecavalier is reportedly nursing a broken foot and could be sidelined for three weeks.

The Lightning placed Lecavalier on injured reserve March 14 with what the team termed a lower-body injury. He last played two days earlier in a 3-2 win against Florida.

A report Tuesday from the Tampa Bay Times detailed the injury, saying it is a minor fracture that may be near or at the same spot where Lecavalier suffered a bone bruise after being hit by a shot on Feb. 2.

The paper also said Lecavalier won't travel with the team for a three-game road trip that starts Wednesday in Toronto.

Lecavalier has posted seven goals and 22 points through 26 games this season.

In addition, the Times reported that forward Ryan Malone is out indefinitely with a left shoulder injury and that defenseman Victor Hedman is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Both players were hurt in Monday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.
