Lightning F Lecavalier placed on IR with lower-body injury

TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Lightning centre Vincent Lecavalier was placed on injured reserve on Thursday with an undisclosed lower body injury.

According to RDS, Lecavalier is expected to be out of action for three weeks.

Lecavalier, who has seven goals and 22 points in 26 games this season, was hurt Tuesday night in a game at Florida.

Tampa Bay recalled forward Tyler Johnson from Syracuse of the AHL to take Lecavalier's roster spot.
