Winnipeg Jets defenceman Zach Redmond has been discharged from hospital as he recovers from surgery to repair a skate cut to his right thigh.
Redmond, who is out indefinitely, has returned home to Traverse City where he will begin the rehabilitation process.
The 24-year-old rookie suffered a gash to his right femoral artery and vein during a practice last week.
Redmond was accidentally cut by a teammate's skate during a drill. He was taken to hospital where he underwent a three-hour surgery to repair the injury.
