Team Canada added four players to its roster on Tuesday for the upcoming IIHF World Championship in Belarus.

Ryan Ellis of the Nashville Predators and Erik Gudbranson of the Florida Panthers were added on defence, while Troy Brouwer and Joel Ward of the Washington Capitals were added at forward.

All four players will be making their first appearances at the worlds. Ellis and Gudbranson played together for Canada at the 2011 World Junior Championship.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, Hockey Canada plans to have its roster finalized by Wednesday.
