Martin Brodeur will get at least one memorable start in his first ever platoon season.

New Jersey Devils coach Peter DeBoer confirmed that the 41-year-old netminder will be between the pipes for his team on Sunday as they take on the New York Rangers at Yankee Stadium.

Brodeur has started just over half the Devils' games this season, putting him on-pace for a career low in a season not shortened by injury or work stoppage.

He has posted a 13-10-4 record this season with a 2.36 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.

Sunday's game at Yankee Stadium is the third in the NHL's Stadium Series for 2013-14. The first came on Jan. 1 with the Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The second is scheduled for Saturday with the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings squaring off at Dodger Stadium in LA.

A second game at Yankee Stadium will take place on Wednesday with the Rangers facing the Islanders.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins will play at Soldier Field on Mar. 1 with the series wrapping up with the Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks playing the Heritage Classic on Mar. 2 at BC Place.
