It appears that Gabriel Landeskog is getting closer to a return to the Colorado Avalanche line-up.

According to a report from the Denver Post, Landeskog returned to practice on Tuesday for the first time since suffering a head injury on Jan. 26.

The 20-year-old Avalanche captain has missed 10 games since taking the hit from San Jose's Brad Stuart and has been on injured reserve.

Avalanche head coach Joe Sacco told the Post that if Landeskog feels no ill effects from practice, he will participate in Wednesday's morning and pre-game skates but Sacco added that he will not play against the visiting St. Louis Blues.

"It's great to have (Landeskog) out there with us right now," Avalanche winger P.A. Parenteau told the Post. "Even at a practice, he brings a lot of energy to the team."

Last season's Calder Trophy winner had one goal in four games prior to the injury.
