Jamie McLennan ranks the top goaltenders so far this season.

Rankings as of February 14

Eastern Conference

Rk Goaltender
1 Craig Anderson - Senators
Anderson has dominated games and been the best goalie as far as consistency.
2 Tuukka Rask - Bruins
Rask is showing why Tim Thomas was expendable.
3 Martin Brodeur - Devils
Brodeur still has it at 40. I NEVER should doubt the all time best goalie.
4 Carey Price - Canadiens
Price is the only reason Montreal is in a playoff spot at the moment.
5 Henrik Lundqvist - Rangers
The still elite Lundqvist is settling in and rounding into form.
6 Marc-Andre Fleury - Penguins
Fleury had a good start, despite a dip in his play, however he is still getting it done.
7 Ilya Bryzgalov - Flyers
Bryzgalov has been Philadelphia's best player so far this season.
8 Ryan Miller - Sabres
Miller's team has been awful in front of him and he faces way too many high quality chances.
9 James Reimer - Maple Leafs
Reimer was great before the injury and showing he can play .
10 Cam Ward - Hurricanes
Ward had a slow start, but has come on lately. I expect elite play out of him.
11 Anders Lindback - Lightning
I am a big fan of Lindback, who is still learning to be a number one netminder.
12 Evgeni Nabokov -  Islanders
Nabokov has been streaky, still playing on a young team, with lots of mistakes.
13 Ondrej Pavelec - Jets
The Jets allow a lot of quality chances and Pavelec is still not at the top of his game.
14 Jose Theodore - Panthers
Sadly Theodore is not the same as he was last season.
15 Braden Holtby/Michal Neuvirth - Capitals
The Caps have been bad and their goalies have to be better as a tandem.

Western Conference

Rk Goaltender
1 Pekka Rinne - Predators
Rinne has been the only reason why Nashville has competed, as they lack in goal support.
2 Roberto Luongo/Cory Schneider - Canucks
Both netminders in Vancouver are playing well behind a great team.
3 Corey Crawford - Blackhawks
Crawford has stabilized in net and shown he can make the save when the Hawks need him.
4 Antti Niemi - Sharks
Niemi has cooled off as of late, but has been solid for San Jose.
5 Jonathan Quick - Kings
Despite having no goal support (see Rinne), Quick still has not been the same. I expect way more.
6 Viktor Fasth/Jonas Hiller - Ducks
Fasth has come in and been great and is showing a ton of composure.
7 Jimmy Howard - Red Wings
Howard has been solid for the Red Wings, after a shaky start.
8 Kari Lehtonen - Stars
Lehtonen is showing why he considered one of the best finnish goalies.
9 Devan Dubnyk - Oilers
Dubnyk is a big reason why Edmonton has been in the pack, showing he is a true number one.
10 Mike Smith - Coyotes
Smith had a shaky start and an injury, but is starting to come on now.
11 Miikka Kiprusoff - Flames
I know what he's capable of and I expect more because of his elite skill set.
12 Jaroslav Halak/Brian Elliott - Blues
The ranking would be higher if Halak was healthy, and lower if Elliott was the starter.
13 Niklas Backstrom - Wild
Backstrom has not been the same so far, with some good games and some bad.
14 Semyon Varlamov - Avalanche
An inconsistent team has led to his woes, but he has big upside.
15 S.Bobrovsky/S.Mason - Blue Jackets
Neither netminder has been able to run away with the starting job.

The semifinals continue as Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk faces Cody Hodgson of the Sabres.
