Leafs hire Dubas as assistant GM; Loiselle, Poulin let go
Brendan Shanahan made his first significant front-office move as Toronto Maple Leafs president on Tuesday by hiring Kyle Dubas as assistant general manager. Dubas served as GM of the OHL's Sault Ste. The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward David Booth to a one-year, $1 million contract. The Vancouver Canucks bought Booth out in June, with the 29-year-old due $4.75 million in the remaining year of the six-year contract he signed with the Florida Panthers prior to the 2009-10 season. The Calgary Flames have signed centre Joe Colborne to a two-year contract extension. The 24-year-old set personal highs with 10 goals and 18 assists in 80 games last season. Full Story.
