When the Seattle Seahawks hold their mandatory mini-camp next week, star running back Marshawn Lynch is not expected to be in attendance.
According to a report from ESPN, Lynch wants a new contract from the Seahawks, and will likely skip all off-season workouts until he can renegotiate his deal with the Seahawks.
A source in the ESPN article states Lynch wants more up-front money.
The 28-year-old is entering the third year of his four-year, $30 million deal. He has rushed for more than 1,000 yards each of the last three years and helped the Seahawks win the Super Bowl last season.
It's unclear if Seattle will renegotiate with Lynch; there have been off-season rumours the team is already planning for Lynch's departure at the end of his contract.
