The New England Patriots have returned to the top of the TSN.ca NFL Power Rankings for the first time since the first week of the NFL season.

New England has won six straight, including last week's road win at Miami, to overtake the San Francisco 49ers, coming off an overtime loss to St. Louis.

Houston, Denver and Atlanta maintained the next three positions to round out the Top Five.

Expecting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to return, and coming off a big road win at Baltimore, the Pittsburgh Steelers climb from 14 to 10, while Buffalo's decisive home win over Jacksonville lifts them from 26 to 21.

Back-to-back losses dropped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 12 to 15 and the New Orleans Saints from 19 to 24.
