Canadians Wiggins, Ennis named to Wooden Midseason List

Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins was one of only five freshmen named to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 List on Wednesday.

The players on the list are considered strong candidates for the official voting ballot consisting of the nation's top 10 All-America first and second team players.

The Wooden Award All American Team, consisting of the nation's top 10 players, will be announced the week of the "Elite Eight" round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Vaughan, Ontario native leads Kansas with a 15.2 scoring average, which also leads the Big 12 freshman class and is 10th overall in the conference.

A point guard from Brampton, Ennis is averaging 11.9 points and 5.5 assists per game for the undefeated Orange who are ranked second in the NCAA's AP poll.
