Here are five quick thoughts for a Monday.

1. DWYANE WADE (Heat): Right knee issues. Bottom Line - they've got the No. 1 seed in the East locked up. Slow and steady wins the race. Take your time coming back. He's looked terrific when he's been healthy this season, and is back to his explosive game which I love. I think the target should be Game 1 of the Playoffs for him. In the first round, they could get by without him if need be. The key is the Eastern Semi's and Finals as well as the NBA Finals. Make sure he's right.

2. MARTY BLAKE (RIP): The NBA lost a great one yesterday with the passing of the legendary long-time Scout. Had the opportunity to get to know Marty when I was coaching and was always impressed with his feel for upcoming prospects, their backgrounds and most importantly his love/passion for the sport. They don't make them like that anymore.

3. RAYMOND FELTON (Knicks): He's had a really nice season for the Knicks in his second stint with them (14 ppg and 5.5 assists pg / 36 per cent from three-point range). Love his competitive toughness and spirit. He's back in shape and looking good. Knows how to run a team and makes big plays at the right time. He's more than willing to be a complementary piece yet has the chops to make clutch/big plays when you need them. A good fit for sure.

4. QUINCY ACY (Raptors): Have really enjoyed watching him since he came back from the D-League. He gives it his all and the experience is helping him. It's important for the Raptors to get a sense of what they have returning for next season and he's given them reason for optimism that he can be a solid role player. Drafting second round picks is always a crap shoot - he's showing them that he's worthy of their trust/faith in him. Is he going to be a big-time player? Likely not but this is more about him developing into a serviceable winning second unit guy and the minutes/experience he earns now will help in that formation. It's on him to continue to improve his game and body but he looks like a guy who is willing to pay the price to do it - that's all you can ask.

5. NCAA FINAL (Michigan vs. Louisville): Hope you can catch our coverage tonight on TSN2. Should be a fun game. Gotta tell you that my head tells me Louisville with their terrific pressure defence and dynamic guard Russ Smith yet my heart tells me Michigan with NCAA Player of the Year Trey Burke, a bunch of three-point sharpshooters who have shown the ability to handle pressure defence and traps after beating VCU (awesome pressing team) in the Round of 32 a few weeks back. I have great respect/admiration for the Wolverines coach, John Beilein, who I've known for over 20 years and coached against many times. What the heck - I'm going with Michigan 74-71. Enjoy!
