It's do or die tonight for the Montreal Canadiens as they face elimination from the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs after going down 3-1 in their series against the Ottawa Senators.

This will be a huge challenge for the Habs as they are dealing with many key players being seriously injured.

Yesterday, it was announced that Habs captain Brian Gionta must undergo sugery on Friday to repair a torn left biceps. Today, some more bad news for the Habs, their starting goaltender Carey Price is out for the rest of the first round with a lower body injury.

On top of that, two of their more physical forwards, Brandon Prust and Ryan White are not available to play either, both out with upper body injuries. Michael Blunden will make his playoff debut replacing Prust and Habs back-up goaltender Peter Budaj will get his first career start in the post season. Rene Bourque and Max Pacioretty did not take part in the morning skate but are expected to play.

There's no denying this won't be an easy task for the Habs, but coach Michel Therrien keeps reminding his team to take it one game at a time and that right now they just need to win one and then move on from there. Therrien also pointed out that when you are on top of your game and playing well, you're having fun and you don't feel the pressure, and that is what he is asking his team to do.
