The Canadiens will play host tonight to one of the hottest teams in the league right now, the Washington Capitals.
The Capitals are on a four-game win streak and have been able to turn things around after a rocky start to the season as they sit at the top of the Southeast Division.
Rene Bourque returns to the lineup after missing the last 21 games with a concussion. Bourque will be playing on the fourth line with Travis Moen and Jeff Halpern. Michel Therrien said that they need to be cautious when it comes to integrating Bourque back into the game.
"It's one thing to be in shape and it's another thing to be in game shape," Therrien said this morning. Max Pacioretty left practice yesterday to tend to his minor lower body injury. Pacioretty took a puck off his foot last Wednesday in Philadelphia but said that his injury isn't related to that.
The Habs' major concern tonight will be to try and limit the chances of Alex Ovechkin, who has 23 points in his last 14 games. The Canadiens are undefeated against the Southeast Division. The last time they faced the Capitals, they beat them 4-1 back on January 24, but this time around the Habs know they are facing a completely different Capitals team.
