With the NHL Trade Deadline less than three weeks away, teams are making decisions on whether to buy or sell. Check out today's trade rumours and speculation from around the NHL beat, and follow TSN.ca each day until Deadline Day for all the updates.

No Radical Changes?

John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports that Buffalo Sabres general manager Darcy Regier isn't in 'a blow-it-up mindset', despite his team having the second worst record in the NHL.

"Organizationally we have to find a way, in order to win a championship, to acquire more top players." Regier said. He also informed the media that there have been 'lots of calls' about possible moves.

Staying on the Island?

According to Katie Strang of ESPNNewYork.com, the New York Islanders and captain Mark Streit are in discussions about a new contract.

The 35-year-old defenceman is in the final year of a five-year 20.5 million deal and is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Still Patient

Ansar Khan of MLive.com states that Detroit Red Wings defenceman Ian White, who has been a healthy scratch for eight of the last nine games has echoed his position from last week that he has not asked management for a trade.

"I haven't asked for a trade," White said. "That's up to management, what personnel they want around and what changes they want to make to the team. So, I just show up and work hard and try to help everyone get better, help this team get wins."

White will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
