Canadians Carvalho, Gagnon added to UFC's Montreal card

TORONTO -- Antonio (Pato) Carvalho of Oshawa, Ont., and Mitch Gagnon of Sudbury, Ont. have been added to the UFC 158 card March 16 in Montreal.

Carvalho will face featherweight Darren (The Damage) Elkins while Gagnon takes on bantamweight Issei Tamura.

Gagnon (9-2) is coming off a win over Walel Watson that evened his UFC record at 1-1. Tamura (7-3) is coming off a loss to Raphael Assuncao.

Carvalho (15-5) has won his last two UFC fights. Elkins (16-2) has won four straight in the UFC.

Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre meets Nick Diaz in the main event at the Bell Centre.

Other Canadians on the card are Rory (Ares) MacDonald, Nick (The Promise) Ring, Patrick (The Predator) Cote, Jordan (Young Gun) Mein, Sean (The Punisher) Pierson, John (The Bull) Makdessi and Yves (Tiger) Jabouin.
