Lawler returns to UFC, will fight Koscheck in February

TORONTO (Ruthless) Robbie Lawler is returning to the UFC, this time as a welterweight.

The UFC announced Thursday that Lawler (18-8) will face welterweight Josh Koscheck (19-6) at UFC 157 on Feb. 23 in Anaheim, Calif.

Lawler's last eight fights have come in Strikeforce, which is now owned by the UFC. He made his UFC debut in May 2002 at UFC 37 and went on to post a 4-2 record in the organization.

The 30-year-old Lawler has been Icon sport and Elite XC middleweight champion

The main event at the at the Honda Center marks the UFC debut of women's bantamweight champion (Rowdy) Ronda Rousey (6-0) against Liz Carmouche (7-2).

Other additions to the card include featherweights Chad (Money) Mendes versus Manvel Gamburyan, and Dennis Bermudez versus Matt Grice.
