Blue Jays activate OF Cabrera, option RHP Wagner to Triple-A

The Toronto Blue Jays activated OF Melky Cabrera from his rehabilitation stint with the the Buffalo Bisons on Sunday and optioned righthander Neil Wagner to the Triple-A team.

Cabrera batted fifth in the order against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday and played left field.

Cabrera played two games during his time in Buffalo with three hits in five at-bats (.600) and an RBI.

In 20 relief appearances for the Blue Jays, Wagner was 2-3 with a 3.26 ERA in 19.1 innings of work (18 H, 16 SO).

In 19 games with the Bisons, Wagner was 1-0 with a 0.89 ERA and a perfect 13-for-13 in save opportunities. He allowed just 10 hits while striking out 32 in 20.1 innings of work.
